One of CDI’s many aims is to ‘bring people together’ hopefully reducing feelings of isolation, whilst providing the opportunity to engage in new ‘life enhancing’ activities, meet new people and make many new friends.
Recently the CDI team were delighted to introduce one of our new members Sheila, who hails from Brazil, with one of our wonderful partners, Alexandra from Oxford University.
Alexandra, born herself in Portugal, has been a wonderful supporter of CDI over the past few years and has recently been instrumental, along with Martha and Shona, in organising senior trips to the Ashmolean Museum and Inter-generational activities at the Arboretum.
As you will see from the lovely picture of Sheila and Alexandra, both were delighted to recently meet and chat away in their ‘Native tongue’ and on a day when the British weather replicated homely sunnier climes.
