This October, CDI is packing its bags, grabbing its passports and heading straight to Italy… well, not literally, but the Barn is about to feel like it’s been dropped right in the middle of Rome, Naples and Milan all at once.
Why? Because our young people asked for something different, something fun, something themed and when CDI listens, CDI delivers. Welcome to Italian October, running every Monday 5–7pm and Wednesday 4–6pm for ages 9–18.
Trust us… it’s going to be a ‘Fantastico Ottobre’.
Super Mario Showdowns
Picture this: the Barn transformed into a digital Colosseum. Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad all waiting to be challenged by the bravest youths of the Leys. Rivalries will be formed. Friendships will be tested. And somewhere in the background, someone will definitely shout, “It’s-a me… WINNER!”
Whether you’re a Mario Kart speed demon or a Smash Bros button‑masher, the competition is ON.
Italian Cooking Takeover
If you’ve ever wanted to learn the sacred Italian art of pizza‑throwing (without it landing on the ceiling), pasta‑twirling or creating the perfect spaghetti bolognese… October is your moment.
Youths will get hands-on with real ingredients, real recipes and real tasting sessions. Because nothing says “I’m living my best life” like eating the food you just made with your mates.
Sports, Azzurri Style
Feel like channelling your inner Italian football legend? We’ve got you covered.
Whether you want to emulate the mighty Azzurri, show off your silky skills, or try your hand at Boccia like a world champion. The Barn will be buzzing with energy, competition and a whole lot of dramatic goal celebrations.
Chill, Chat & A Little Italian Lingo
Not in the mood to compete? No problem.
Italian October is also about chilling with friends, soaking up the atmosphere, and maybe even learning a few Italian phrases. Imagine going home and casually dropping “Ciao bella!” to your family like you’ve just returned from a semester abroad.
