Oxfordshire’s HAF Provider of the Year

It is with huge pride, and even bigger gratitude, that we share the wonderful news that Leys CDI has been awarded Oxfordshire’s HAF Provider of the Year. For our small community charity, rooted in one of Oxfordshire’s most socially challenged areas, this recognition means the world.

This year alone, Oxfordshire’s HAF programme delivered over 20,000 holiday places to 3,700 plus different children. 300 more than last year. Among them were 131 fantastic juniors who joined CDI’s Summer HAF courses, taking part in everything from life‑saving first aid with SaveYU, robotics with OAS, nature workshops with BBOWT, dance with Gemma, pottery with Beatrice Brown, street awareness with Chris Abeso, educational visits from Slade fire service and Thames Valley Police, plus unforgettable intergenerational activities with our beloved seniors, including a magical trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park.

Parents told us: “CDI feels like my child’s second home.”

“The meals and care were a lifesaver for us.”

“My daughter came home teaching us CPR… Incredible.”

These words remind us why HAF matters. Across Oxfordshire, and the country. HAF funding tackles health inequalities, ensures children are fed, active, safe and included, and gives families vital support during school holidays. It creates opportunity where it’s most needed.

Thank You for Making This Possible

To Oxfordshire County Council’s HAF team, in particular Paul Ader, Frederika Kaja and Natalie Robb, our funders – HAF, Oxfordshire County Council, Oxford City Council, and our crucial local supporters including Peabody and Morgan Sindall …. your kindness is immeasurable.

To our working partners and our wonderful CDI staff and volunteers, who give their time, energy and heart year after year. Thank you for inspiring our young people……..  This award belongs to you.

Being recognised among so many outstanding HAF providers across Oxfordshire is a true honour. More importantly, it strengthens trust in CDI, reassures families, and shines a positive light on the Leys … a community that continues to rise, together.

Here’s to everyone who helped make this possible…..THANKYOU…… Together, we made a difference.
